Meet Mrs. Day
Before I became the librarian at Pinecrest Elementary School, I taught grades 1-3 for 14 years in two different states. I am originally from Ohio, lived in Savannah, Georgia for 7 years and then moved to Greenwood, South Carolina in 2013. I met and married my husband, David, while living in Savannah. We have two sons who will both be Pinecrest Panthers. We share our home with Vera the cat and George (Weasley) the red-eared slider turtle.
One of my favorite parts about being a teacher was when I introduced students to great books. Now I am able to do that with the whole school! I also love working with technology to enhance learning for both teachers and students. Aside from my interests in books and technology, I also love music, Legos, being crafty, and spending time with my family.
